International White Cane Day

15th October marks the International White Cane Day. The date is set aside to celebrate the achievements of people who are visually impaired.

A white cane enables people with visual impairment to explore the road ahead, and it symbolizes their independent living.

Through the celebration of the International White Cane Day, Hong Kong Blind Union aims to raise public awareness of visual impairment and provide an equal and independent environment for the visually impaired in society.

Introduction to the “Cane-A-Thon” Fundraising Campaign

“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eyes.”
